OMG - it worked!!

This blog hadn't let me on it for nearly a week now - and then when it did for a bit it wouldn't let me do pics - but so far so good.........
Ok - Bon's cc started last weekend and this is my challenge- all you have to do is USE THIS SKETCH and you could win a $20 voucher at Bons' - how cool is that? That's a fair bit, you know - or you could put it towards one of the funky new kits over there that were launched yesterday - I love them and they are fantastic value - only $31.95 for nearly $40 worth of stuff. Oh - and here's my example of the sketch - it's a funky little one thats' really fun to do
and this is just showing you how it's seethrough where the Hambly overlay is

so that I have something more interesting to share!!LOL Haven;t done much but here's some canvases I finally did for Madison's room ..........now to do Claire's And here's my 1,2,3 entry for this month - I had to use this photo as it was the only 6x8" photo I had (due to printer still not being here!!) so then I had to use hearts and pink chipboard - and it;s so hard to make school photos look undorky!! But this is ok - turned out better than I thought

Not much else to report - although there is some FUN stuff going to be happening in the shop over at Bons in November (hopefully launching on the 1st but we'll see, just in case there's delays on some products) - I CAN'T WAIT - it's going to be awesome!!

is a legend!!! I got this LO in the mail today from Leeann - who scrapped these pics for me out of the scraps I sent her. Boy, it felt mean sending all odds and sods in an envelope and the expecting a LO out of it - and look what she did!! I love this LO - so funky and so Leeann. Thanks so much - I ADORE it!! Just showing a close up cos I love the little photo - love that sepia look!!

Ok - there it is - thats the sketch for this month so go wild!!LOL And this is my monthly theme LO for Bons Scraps too - to have flowers somewhere, technically you're supposed to have flowers in the photo or on the PP but my LO just kind of focus 'around' flowers - with the whole flower girls theme and it does have flowers on it!! Surely if I looked hard enough I could find a flower in that picture?? hmmmmmmm.............

Guest scrapjacker!!

I got asked to be guest "jacker" over at Scrapjacked this month - how exciting!! This is my 'jack' of Megan Stephenson's LO - a LO about Madison not quite getting the point of why I needed another photo of her in a pretty dress - silly child, does she not know this IS the point?? It's PRETTY!!!! SO smile, damn you...........LOL Oooh buggery, I forgot to upload the sketch. This LO is done as my example for my monthly sketch challenge over at Bons ' come on over and give it a go - it's really easy (I'll quickly post the ACTUAL sketch in another post - that'd come in handy when entering the comp wouldn't it??

And this is my page for Paper of the Month at Bons Scraps too - it's a bargain at 75c in the clearance section - old UL extreme PP - or you may already have it in your stash. The other DT's pages are so cool - and we've got at least one "civilian" entry in already. The LO is of Darcy after getting a Bob the Builder showbag - omg, could a little boy be anymore in love with Bob?? He used to recite our names when he was in bed - over and over - mum.........dad......mads.......care(claire)........mum.........care - but NOW it's .......bob.......diddy(dizzy)......muck........wenny(wendy).......woll(roley). So cute!!
And this is my go at Sheree's CC challenge where you had to "manually" alter a photo (as in - not digitally), write lots of descriptive words not in a sentence and use a big photo butted into one of the corners - so I did my new little niece, Clancy - I think she really looks like my brother in this photo.

And I really want to do Charm's CC chall but my printer is being VERY temperamental and I don't seem to be talking it around - so I'm a bit stuck for photos at the moment.
Anyway, I'll quickly post the sketch and I'll be off..............

Cybercrop tonight!!!

Plus it's the last day of the month so you still have a wee bit of time to enter my sketch comp over at Bons ' - and remember I'm offering a chance to get RAKed from me - just for entering!! (a non-winner drawn at random)

And in just one hour I'll be putting my challenge up over at Bons - so BE THERE!!

I'm in a wee bit of a quandary at the moment - Bradley took the kids into the Speedway (not my thing!!) at about 12.30pm - and still isn;t home - now I'm not worried. It's just all these free time is kind of freaking me out. And I'm actually getting bit stressed at how to maximise my use of this free time. Updating my blog..........possibly NOT the best use of my time.......... But what do I do - relax and wait? Scrap and then try to finish it before they get home which doesn't sound relaxing?? Not really sure - oh, but I did finish watching Blood Diamond which was kind of nice to sit down without interupptions but I got a bit fidgetty I think with NOT being interuppted. Not that I often do, but I really don't want to buy another diamond in my life!! Sad sad movie - maybe i should watch Wild Hogs to cheer myself up as that is just sitting there.
Oh, and you'd be so proud - Darcy said "Happy Feet" today - he was standing on the cover of the DVD (which he has never watched so I have no idea how he knew the name) - and yes - he was standing ON it and I was telling him to get off - and he just says "Happy Feet" - how weird is that?? So then I stopped telling him off - so I actually think it was all a ploy - and he CAN talk really well underneath it all.
He can list the entire cast of Bob the Builder but won't say Dad on command - he always says "mum" - but again, I think he just looovvees pissing Dad off!!LOL

Just another few LO's

for some cybercrops occurring this weekend. This one had to use bright colours, the word 'happy' in the title and something else that escapes me at the moment....LOL.....hang on, I'll think of it......oh, doodling - that was it!! This one is for the 1,2,3 cc challenge no?? - I tell you, I have the memory of whatever the opposite of an elephants memory is - memory of a fish maybe?? Aren't they supposed to have short memories?? Anyway, criteria being that you have to alter the photo, use rub-ons and use paint (which I did for my journalling box - in case you can't tell)
And this one was for yet another cc (all for different sites) - the challenge was to mainly use yellow - ewwww - not my cup of tea, but it was good because it made me scrap this school photo of Madison that I'd been putting off simply because I didn't like doing the black/yellow combo.

Anyway, had more chance to scrap than I thought this weekend, as we had our winter sports wind-up last night and we even got my SIL over to babysit from Geraldton, but Darcy has been sick and clingy, so I ended up pulling out at the last minute - and was glad I did as he didn't have very good night - and would've hated having to deal with that after a few drinks!!

We've got Madison's birthday this weekend, so I'm not going to scrap all week - from now on - tadah!! Not that the house is that beyond control - but I thought it would be a good excuse to really spring clean each room and do some stuff outside that needs doing like our shadecloth cover over the play area which is hanging down that far it just looks like rows of hammocks now!!LOL - if you've ever been to my house you'll know what I mean!!

Well, it is a slight exaggeration - there's only 2 bits hanging down - but still - it NEEDS doing.

Anyway - off to start my chores.

Hope you had a better day than Bradley, who is laying dying on the couch after his night out - and who, I forgot to mention (BIG WHOOPS) won Fairest and Best for the 3rd year in a row. And now for some reason, he's sick?? Funny that - must've eaten something funny?? I think not.

Ok - here's my scrapjack of Ngaire Bartlam's LO on the site. It's Claire looking like a dag, or should I say, Claire just looking like Claire as I don't often get a photo where she looks like a normal child!! but I love her for it. And this is my 1,2,3 monthly challenge - the criteria this month was to use a transparency, no flowers (quite a feat on this girly page) and ripped paper. Quite like how this one turned out - more "me" than the scrapjack one.

HAPPY 18TH MATT!!

That boy, who I definitely recall being 10 about 2 years ago - has all of a sudden turned 18. And it had me realising just how old some of my kids clothes are as Darcy is wearing Matt's clothes he wore at the same age - which I still think of not that old as I remember dressing Matt in them!! Anyway - he would not know I have a blog, so he will not read this message - he would think I struggle to turn on the computer seeing as I'm not completely up to date with Runescape or whatever you call that thing he likes to use said computer for. Anyway - happy birthday Matty - love ya!!
Here's a bit of stuff I did. (Loving my new Cats Life Press stamp that says "This is not art, I just like to make stuff") Hence the 'stuff'.............
This was done for one of the 1,2,3 cybercrop challenges to use stars, arrows and ink for some other purpose other than inking edges or stamping - so I used mine for masking.
And here's what a made for Father's Day for Bradley - he said he wanted an updated photo for his keyring - so now he's got his own mini-album - LOL!!!

Scrapjack

This is just a really quick post to show you my Scrapjack LO - lucky I did it today as it's due in tonight - and I was going to leave it until tomorrow and do it at the crop!! How annoyed would I have been then - LOL. So here it is - it's a jack of a LO of Fraser Island on Jill Geraghty-Groves blog.

Bons is turning 1!!

And it's a great chance to celebrate with a cybercrop!! Head on over for some fab challenges - here's mine - your challenge is to make a LO for under $5 - and have a handcut title (at least partially). This is Darcy's attempt at making his own cruskit, yes, poor child is under 2 and already he has to make his own lunch - although at the rate he's eating margarine, he'll be having a heart attack before his third birthday.......... And here's a LO I did for the Chooks CC on the weekend - had to use the word colour, distressing techniques - very distressing!! and you had to colour something in - which was my word "life"
And this one is a bit older - one I did for another cc using a sketch, and oversized hand made embellishment
So all in all we're travelling pretty cruisy at the moment - no huge illnesses in the family so it's nice. Madison won a merit certificate at school the other day and they sent a letter home with her to tell me about it so I could be there - only Madison was standing over me while I read the letter and asked me what it was about as it had her name on the envelope (silly people!!) so i told her what it was about - then read the 2nd paragraph which told me my child did not know about this award!!LOL. SO I did what every good mother should do - and told her to tell a little white lie becuase mummy wasnt supposed to tell her that she was getting it - so please don't tell the teacher you know!! And she was fabulous at it!! Should I be worried??
When Bradley asked her later that day if she knew she was getting it - she said quietly "Yes, but I'm not supposed to tell anyone that" - so cute!!
Goodnight peoples (dont you love the optimism in that plural!!)

MASTERS!!

Yay - my first time entering and I got a call from Kristy at Scrapbooking Memories to say I'd been shortlisted!! Exciting but not holding my breath for anything - would be soooo happy to get an honourable mention. AND - I didnt answer the phone when she rang - which was both good and bad - I was putting Darcy to bed and would've had to start all over if I'd answered the phone so just let it go to the machine. So 'bad' because I didn't get to talk to her that day - but good, because then I had the message on the answering machine which I let Bradley listen to!! Don't think he gets it really but he knew it must've been exciting because she said 'congratulations' lots of times!!
And then it took me another 2 days to get hold of Kristy again because she had the next day off and I so wanted to make sure it wasn't all a joke!!LOL
Now here are a few LO's - this one done for a CC using mainly a black and white colour scheme. And this one I did with a Kaisercraft Hanging Album from Bons's Scraps - and I love it - I made thsi one for me for once, to hang on MY wall!! Used the huge Buzz and Bloom alphas which made it really funky.
Just a close up - the Buzz & Bloom alphas you can get from Bons - as well as that groovy felt heart ribbon stuff - and the sprites (aqua flowers) but I think these may be sold out at the moment.
This one was done for another CC - had to use a huge photo and some chipboard ( I think that was all.........)
And this one for yet another CC - there have been 2 cybercrops each weekend for the last 2
weekend - and another 2 coming up this weekend!! And one of them is Bons - so head on over!!
The criteria for this one was to use any Basic Grey product. Also - want another easy wasy to win a prize?? No scrapping involved - just the click of a button. Ok - well here I am just blatantly procrastinating!!! Really have to get into some scrapping but can't be bothered to think what photos I need - now that's lazy!!
Here's one of Blacky and Leahs' wedding which was my Chinese Whispers LO over at Bons' - and I'm in every group!! This was one I did back in July for a comp - had to use clear stamps so I've used Heidi ones, and 2 different sorts of Autumn Leaves ones.
And this is my first ever 1,2,3 blog entry - criteria was to use green fabric (the felt), stitching (on the heart) and something you've had in your stash for 12 months which is the KI memories stickers. Had them for quoite a whoile now...............
Better go do something intelligent - even if that something is just going to bed!! Bye
And, and nearly forgot - finished my LO for Loolabelle (aka Louise Nelson) and I'm finally happy with it - pressure, pressure to scrap a LO for someone who i think is so brilliant!! And laso joined in my first progressive challenge over at Forever Always - joining in the chat was easy - just have to do the LO now!!LOL

Bon's theme for the month is White Winter - and this is my page for that - hope Nicole doesn't read this blog as this is a christmas present for her!! (should really stop posting presents up here but I dont think my family even know I have a blog so I'm safe!! Well, actually I told mum but she won't be able to find it.......... maybe!!)
And this was my LO for my challenge at Bons CC that finishes tomorrow night - so there's still time to enter if you're feeling keen - the criteria is to use an all PP background, a one word title and a flower that's not a pkt bought fabric or mulberry paper one.

Went to my weekly crop today and only took 2 lots of photos as loast week I didnt' even finish 1 LO - but this week I finished both LO's, painted my chipboard album ready for tomorrow night and put all my LO's into albums - AND still had time to spare!! WOW

Oh - and exciting news for my little girl - Madison went in her first sports carnival today and came 2nd in her age - so gets a silver medallion presented to her next week - how exciting!! She obviously doesn't get her skills from her mother - thank god!!
