Childhood Memory

It wasn't until I went to my cousin's house on Christmas Day that I realised how much this fence and view is a big part of my childhood. My Dad and his brother farmed next door to each other, which meant my cousins and 'us kids' grew up next door (although rural people will know that 'next door' is actually 15kms away!LOL). As we always had to go past their gate to go home, Mum would always drop in for a coffee and between that and many many MANY overnight stays I felt like I half lived in this house. And it wasn't until I went back there that I just felt "Oh, there it is..." so many memories in that view.
It was a pretty special day to think of us as kids playing here - and now we were all sitting on the new back deck having a beer at sunset watching all our own kids play together even though we are now all strung all over Australia (but also still farming next door to each other) - very special indeed.....
So that's why I scrapped a photo of a fence....in case you were too polite to ask - lol...
